3.6 Epic Birthday

So. The twin's birthday was rather dramatic... I ended up missing both of them sparkling BUT they grew up to be pretty cute, regardless.

Gloria is just breathtaking. Her updated Traits are: Brave, Loves the Outdoors, Adventurous and Eco-Friendly.

Heidi is very pretty as well. Her Traits: Virtuoso, Heavy Sleeper, Kleptomaniac and Neat. I changed both of their scale colors to something that I thought would suit their personalities a little bit better.

Gloria's tail is a nice sunset inspired orangey-yellow.

Heidi has a very deep purple and blue. SO PRETTY.

Now the girls were both A students in school and were such hard workers, that I decided to give them a treat. A nice little vacation in China before school started up again. (Gloria really wanted to go to China... Her adventurous spirit makes me smile!)

Gloria immediately met a local who asked her to explore a tomb to look for a hidden gem.

She had to do many tasks and logic problems to get through.

Thank goodness her mother taught her the importance of the Athletic skill from a young age. She was exhausted, but powered through.

Yuck! I missed a picture of her pulling yucky bugs all over her hands when she was looking for a key to get into the last room.

She did find it though and was rewarded for her troubles with some Visa Points. She then chose her lifetime wish: Fully Explore 6 Tombs in 3 Locations. WOW.

Heidi isn't too keen on getting down and dirty like her sister. She lounged around in the market place for the most part.

Yes! Gloria had time to start another Adventure, but didn't get to finish it... THAT DRAGON WAS CREEPY.

And then she slept overnight on a bench.

Again... Not Heidi's thing. She slept in the basecamp in a nice, warm bed.

And headed to the market place for some shopping and a swim.

Still not sure if she was actually allowed to swim in this water, but no one tried to stop her... so I just let her enjoy herself.

She bought some fishing books for her sister and a few recipe books to try herself.

And then learned how to make fortune cookies. Hers said, "Bacon makes everything better". AMEN

Just a few hours left of vacation and Gloria was learning, yet again, another skill. Martial Arts!

She decided to read more about it in a book before she actually hurt herself. But bought some equipment to take home and practice with.

And Heidi made sure to learn some of the local culture before she left. Here she is, learning a traditional Chinese song from one of the locals. She made fast friends with him and decided that her lifetime wish was to be: Super Popular (20 friends)

3.5 Invisible

The slide is kind of scary, but other than that, everyone seems to enjoy the pool.

Heidi loves playing in the waterfall.

Finn did one of the most painful belly flops I have EVER witnessed.

Eleanor decided to stick with a more traditional cannonball. Excited to finally have a pool at the house!

Gloria decided to head straight to bed after an exciting birthday.

Heidi, my Heavy Sleeper, seems to be awake a lot more... Do they sleep less than regular sims, I just assumed that they'd sleep MORE.

Anyway, the girls love playing together. The block table sees a lot of traffic after they're home from school.

Gloria is upset that she missed her birthday celebrations in the pool. She is always getting this thought bubble with a birthday cake over her head.

And WHAT?! Is that a puppy? Yep. Gloria really wanted to adopt a puppy and I just let it happen. Meet Harvey Greene.

Can't keep the girls out of the pool at 4 in the morning. I just can't do it.

Somehow, they do find some time for homework though. Heidi is much faster at doing her homework than Gloria, but they both always make sure to get it done.

The only mermaid-ish thing that I'm finding so far is that eating regular meals doesn't do much for the girls hunger statistics. Their favorite food is kelp, so I stocked up on it. I'm just hoping that once their older, they can cook food that actually does something for them. :/

Gloria gave up the habit pretty quick, but Heidi doesn't go anywhere without her imaginary friend, Vincent. It's pretty cute.

Wait. Wait. LESS CUTE. This little fool grew up with them. The only person that can see him is Heidi. She has conversations with him and the whole family thinks that she is crazy.

She makes him bring her food. Crack that whip, Heidi. (Should I be more concerned that my child-sim has an invisible slave? Hmm...)

Gloria spends her days in the pool. Relaxing... probably trying to get away from the strange conversations that her sister is having with herself.

And Eleanor is in the game again, auditioning for gigs at every opportunity.

I sent the girls to the park one day and Heidi hit the swings. See? She always smiles for pictures. It's precious.

Gloria is quite the Angler, she is already to level 2 of the Fishing skill. AND she can eat the fish that she catches... raw. Gross!

Ding-ding! It's birthday time for Brynn!

Can't forget the sparkley picture.

I think that she's gorgeous as an elder. She didn't seem to mind too much either.

And she immediately grabbed the guitar and met her lifetime wish. We have a master painter and guitarist in the house now!

Heidi is constantly carrying little Harvey around. They are best friends.

Uh-oh. Things seem to be going downhill between Heidi and Vincent...

Before the girls' birthday the next day, Eleanor read them both a bedtime story and tucked them in. I think that we're both a little bit sad that these kids childhoods didn't last longer.

3.4 Under the Sea

Gloria is terrified of an attack from THE CLAW. Eleanor is enjoying this far too much.

I also cheated a bit. I had some extra money and I got the girls a walker and a play pen. I was happy with the results, but DID feel like I didn't get as much out of the game by letting them learn the skills on their own. Still haven't decided if I'll use them for future generations, but it was a learning experience.

Kyle enjoyed being a grandpa. (Officially Kyle's biggest fan) Also: Do you see her pink legs? Those aren't tights. Both of these girls are mermaids! When they are older, their legs will turn into a tails when they get into the water. AWESOME.

But of course, potty training doesn't come easy. These girls took FOREVER to potty train.

Eleanor gets ready to put a very sleepy and grumpy Heidi to bed.

And Uncle Finn enjoys making silly faces at Gloria in the swing. (Side note... I didn't realize that the swing has a fast setting and can make the baby nauseous and upset... OOPS. Sorry, Gloria!)

Two babies in a playpen mean that they can play peek-a-boo. SO PRECIOUS. They are completely adorable and quickly become best friends.

The back yard is coming along nicely. When they were toddlers, it was late winter/early spring. I decided that as soon as they aged into children, I was going to add a pool. Don't want them to get sick by jumping into the water in 40 degree weather.

The girls DID love their spring riders though. Kyle and Heidi spent a lot of time in the backyard playing on the playground together.

But the kids LOVE playing with their Imaginary Friend toys. They both have one. I seriously cannot rip Heidi away from hers.

Gloria obviously was not happy with the dinner that Kyle served her. I'm glad that I was quick to take this picture. I've never seen a toddler throw their food before.

Kyle gave her a very stern look as he cleaned up her big mess.

Brynn: Tomorrow is your birthday, Heidi! I can't believe that you're going to be a child already! The time really flies when you're having fun, huh?

Heidi is always cheesing for pictures. :P

HERE WE GO FOLKS, THIS IS NOT A DRILL.

I'm going to keep you guys guessing until the next chapter, but I promise they are GORGEOUS. Until then, I thought you might like to see the house at this point. The first picture is the second story.

And this is the first story. It's a little cluttered down there, I'm thinking I may do some serious renovations since the Greene's now have $40,000 sitting in their family funds.

One last sneak peak! The twin's bedroom is under-water themed! Eee! Mermaids. I'm SO EXCITED.
